I recently completed a new screened porch on the back of my house and have been getting up before dawn to sit there. The sounds of the rushing water in the nearby creek and the neighbor's rooster crowing are constant companions that greet me.
A few days ago, while sitting there with my cup of coffee, I heard distinctly the Holy Spirit say, “A lull before the storm.” Later that day, I shared the words with my wife and then with my mother in a phone conversation. Since then, I have contemplated the possible meaning: is it a personal word or a prophetic word regarding coming events? There are bound to be some personal events that transpire that will seem like a storm, but I have learned to be in a continued state of prayer, rather than to revert to crisis praying.
No, I believe the word is for what is going to happen from November of this year till November of 2028 and beyond.
Yes, it is about the coming elections and the implications that it will have on our nation.
Unfortunately, evangelicals did not learn anything from the 2016 and 2024 elections. In 2016, voices from the pulpit and Christian leaders told us to “vote for the one who is closest to the Bible.” Then in 2024, the campaign rhetoric was good versus evil and that Trump was chosen or spared by God to protect Christian values and restore America. What has been the outcome so far? Well, I don’t think I have to go into details to point out all the chaos our country is in.
So if you think the past elections were exhausting, get ready. There is a lull before the storm.
The next two years will go down in history as the darkest in our political history. It will be a storm that will wreak havoc on the very fiber of our nation. The events on Jan. 6, 2021, at the United States Capitol will pale in comparison to the numerous civil uprisings that will take place. In some cases, martial law will be implemented. Along with state resources, the military will be called in to help implement it. Added fuel to the fire will be the rhetoric and actions of Donald Trump.
The clouds of darkness start in November of this year- midterms. (2026) then the following:
SPRING of 2027- Early candidates signal intent.
SUMMER of 2027- First major campaign announcements.
FALL of 2027- Both parties' debates.
JAN-FEB of 2028- First primaries.
MARCH of 2028 -Super Tuesday.
JULY-AUGUST- Final primaries, nominees known
NOVEMBER 3, 2028 General Election.
JANUARY 2029- Inauguration.
Is it interesting to note that 2029 will be 100 years since the Wall Street crash and then the beginning of the Great Depression?
A lull before the storm and then shipwreck.
Understand that we are just pilgrims passing through this earth and that as we travel we are to be about His kingdom, preaching Jesus, not about politics or causes. Paul and the Apostles, the early Church was focused on one thing: CHRIST! May I leave you with these words from Paul: “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” Romans 12:18. . .“Finally, believers, rejoice! Be made complete (be what you should be), be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace (enjoy the spiritual well-being experienced by believers who walk closely with God); and the God of love and peace (the source of lovingkindness) will be with you. 2 Cor. 13:11 (AMP)
